I try to do something a bit different than the other chess channels out there. Most of my videos are endgame studies or calculation training exercises. There is the odd tournament game of GM game thrown in, but for the most part I am providing videos intended for improving technique.

My own personal picks on you tube.

1. Greencastleblock. A natural teacher and endgame aficionado. His rook and pawn videos are among the best on the internet. Highly recommended. Absolutely first-rate stuff. Study his endgame videos and you will be a better chess player.

2. Majnu2006. Majnu is a dutch chess player with a natural talent for explaining chess concepts. His videos tend to be more analytical and thought provoking. Majnu often picks out key moments in games and invites you to consider the position and how you would proceed. Excellent stuff. Don't miss it.

3. jrobichess. This guy is just awesome and an inspiration to other vloggers. He has cataloged his progress from an absolute beginner, and it has been interesting to see his progression as he has improved over time. Jrobi's videos on pawn endgames are excellent.

4. kingscrusher. This guy needs no introduction. Perhaps the most prolific and entertaining of all chess youtubers. There should be something for all tastes: game analysis, puzzles, theoretical discussions, biographies of players, live blitz games. It's all there, and there's lots of it. Checkout his Fischer playlist. With over 600 videos in his library, it is a tremendous resource for chess enthusiasts worldwide!

5. seanggodley. Sean is an excellent teacher. He presents grandmaster games from past and present. I sometimes wish he would treat us to a longer video broken into several parts, so we could get a deeper analysis. Nevertheless, these 10 minute vignettes are packed with great insight and lots of interesting variations. His videos are very professional and well annotated. Pure chess pleasure.

There are many many more good channels. I even have a couple of decent ones of my own ;-)
