We are located at the foot of Iron Mountain, deep within the Ouachita Mountains of Western Arkansas; Mena, Arkansas. As with any sleepy country town, Mena is rich with tradition and we strive to instill tradition into every baby cradle we build. From the time we hand pick the wood, to the time we hand sand and carefully fit each piece of the cradle, we realize that we are creating a family heirloom for you, your new baby, and for the generations of babies to come. We masterfully craft each cradle, attending to every detail. We build our cradles from 100% white pine, using no laminates, veneers, or composites.
Each cradle is made according to your specifications: open or hooded, straight or round, lattice, dentil, or plain; big foot or little foot rocker. So many possibilities make your decision challenging and fun. Each hooded cradle also has a convenient holding compartment. You may choose the shallow or deep compartment to store diapers, powder, lotion, and wipe-ups.
We make three models of Big Sister Cradles just like the full-size open baby cradles. The Big Sister Cradle lets big sister take care of her baby just like mommy. In the future, we plan to add a hooded cradle to our Big Sister line. We don't make a Big Brother cradle, but we plan to make Big Brother blocks. Be sure to watch for both additions in the future.
We also offer a line of decorative shelves to compliment your nursery or other room. These routered shelves are custom built to any length up to 8 feet "per running inch." They are 5½" wide and made from the same hand picked pine as our cradles. You can choose from angled or straight ends.
You may purchase your cradle in a variety of finishes or with no finish at all, allowing you to provide your own personal touch. If you choose an unfinished model, we will include an unfinished board to test finishes on, but we recommend that you thoroughly research your preferred method to ensure you are happy with the end result. Whatever you choose, we hope that you will take pride, as we do, knowing that your tradition has been started.
