About Shaun Murray, guitarist
I'm Shaun Murray, a 51 year old fingerstyle guitarist from Medway in Kent. I started learning in my secondary school years but gave up for a long time once I got to 16 - I guess a lack of motivation and inspiration were the causes! I took it up again at 36.
Most of my postings are solo arrangements of popular songs, the transcriptions for most of which are available to buy through my website.
I've recorded three solo CDs: The Entertainer (2001), Nails and Nylon (2006) and Capricho (2007). A remastered 17-track compilation entitled 'Never Alone' featuring tracks from all three albums is now available from my website.

My YouTube videos are recorded with a Sony HandyCam DCR DVD 105 with a Phillips mic SBC3020 into a Creative Soundblaster soundcard SB0490, into Windows Media format. 'Nice Room' reverb is added using the software Guitar Rig 2, made by Native instruments.
