His stifle is now bone on bone from the stress of the push off at the start for racing - apparently it is a common injury in thoroughbreds due to the stress on this joint. Track people thought they should inject it repeatedly which caused a large calcification and further deteriation of the joint. Work causes pain now, as there is little space in the joint itself. The video was taken just as I got him 2 years ago, before the damage was severe.
I have just wacthed your video about magic. I have a four year old throughbred gelding that a similair movement to magic which only affects him in walk he is fine at trot and canter I was wondering if you have time Please could you Tell me or give some information about stifle injuries
