Story behind the song: The American Heritage Lyceum Philharmonic (Youth Orchestra) and its director, Kayson Brown, approached us with this idea. We loved it. It combined two of the things we are working to accomplish -- inviting people to classical music and inspiring young musicians. Steven Sharp Nelson had soloed with the orchestra the previous year and loved the spirit and the talent that the orchestra showed at such young ages (ages 13-18!) Together we developed the concept of "Beethoven's 5 Secrets," combining OneRepublic's tune "Secrets" with melodies and moments from all four movements of Beethoven's 5th Symphony.
We used 5 different melodies from the 4 movements of Beethoven's 5th Symphony (not including the "bridge" the orchestra plays in the middle). Try to guess where they are and where they come from!
What are Beethoven's secrets? He had many. His most prominent secret that he desperately tried to keep from the public and that caused him to be considered extremely eccentric, irritable, and hermit-like was his "weakness." He was deaf during most of his life. Imagine that...one of the greatest composers that ever lived could hardly hear. And yet, he wrote his life's greatest works after becoming deaf. He believed that art itself had "secrets" that had to be "forced into" in order to obtain art's highest level. There is no doubt Beethoven discovered many of the "secrets" of art -- people all over the world enjoy them every day. He was a true master of music, blessed by God. This piece and video are dedicated to him.
Perform "Beethoven's 5 Secrets" and the entire Beethoven Symphony No. 5 with Steven Sharp Nelson at Lyceum Music Festival this year! Work up-close and personal with Steven and other amazing professional musicians like the concertmaster of the London Symphony and Rotterdam Orchestra. Advanced players ages 13-21 are invited to audition. Visit http://www.LyceumMusicFestival.com or http://american-heritage.org/music/or... for details

I am in love with this quote, love her Irish accent too like, BONUS!
3,500 video is already made, so once I get 3,500 subscribers I'll upload it :)
Updates....emmmm. It was my birthday yesterday, finally 16 so I'm getting my new boots on Tuesday and I'm applying for a few jobs here and there to pay for my new sand ring I'm planning to get made for the end of the year or the start of 2012 :D Super excited!
Mario is in and out like mad for the past few weeks and unfortunately he is in for good tomorrow :( There is greyhound racing going on in the field alongside him so the owner felt it was better for me to bring him home than have him traumatised by the noises! :/ I guess he's right but bringing him home is a lot of responsibility especially with all my study!
I have an Interschools show on Sunday in Clonshire, Co. Limerick and I'm hoping to go to WCE (my old riding centre) to get some training done in the indoor since Mario was seriously confused about what he was doing in the last indoor show. He spent a good few years of him life in WCE so I hope he gets him old confidence back by going there :)
Mario is doing great lately so nothing to really say about him, other than he is a FLUFFY MONSTER! :P
Midterm next week so we're off for a full week! :D BOOYAAA PARTAAAY TIME ;)
-Ellen&Mario.

defo subbed, sub back? x
to teach boo to be ridden bridless i started by just riding with very loose reins and practising steering with my legs, once she had mastered that, i kept the bridle on and introduced the neck rope, using my seat and legs as the main control of steering and stopping and if i needed a little help id use the neck rope to help us stop and steer, once we mastered that then i took the bridle off and just used the neck rope, doing LOTS of transitions, circles and turns is key!! :]
