Garter snakes are just rattlesnakes without the rattle and venom. They are more like Boa constricters by nature, yet smaller. I'd try biting you too with that camera in my face if I was a Garter, be greatful it wasn't a red stripe garter, they are more aggressive.

The reason its so aggressive is 1, you didn't approach it properly, and 2 you gotta pet it and let it know its friend with you rather then foe. You provoked the snake I'd strike at you too if I were a snake. Your very lucky that wasn't a viper, or diamondback rattlesnake. Learn to pin their neck...

Aww, poor King Cobra, they better feed it or it'd die quick :( no defence is quite rough on a snake. The kid was fine, but still in the wild, never bother king cobras. If your collecting snakes, get a Garter snake they are way better with humans.

Try visiting them by the thousands in limestone pits, like scientists, after winter going into spring. Then you;ll see just how relaxed they are. These snakes are often used in moveis due to their relaxed properties. Hence Indiana Jones series.

Baruttv , the reason I know about graphics accelleration being choppy is similar for running Diablo 2 LOD on the newer systems without setting the specs right.
