Brian and Jamie Coakley are a dynamic husband and wife team who love creating art and performing music together. They have a rich history in the Southern California Indie rock world, including releasing 10 albums between their three bands (The Cadillac Tramps-Indie, Rule 62-Major, & WAXAPPLES-DIY), producing over 20 online videos (both live show content and sketch viral media), a 40 minute documentary on their lives as musicians and parents in their time with WAXAPPLES, and touring the country and sharing the stage with Pearl Jam, No Doubt, The B52's, The Violent Femmes, X and Social Distortion, just to name a few!
In addition to producing, in conjunction with Blue C Communications, "Places We Like To Go" which were 30 second "out and about in LA commercial radio spots featured on the now debunked but famed Southern California Radio Station, Indie 103.1, they were also featured live guests numerous times on The Mighty Mighty Morning Show, with Dicky Barrett of the Mighty, Mighty Bosstones.
Brian and Jamie and their record label Nadine Records, were also pioneers of online viral media, producing 3/30 second comedy video sketches for on line consumption only, way back in 2006, to be shared on a little start up called YouTube! In addition, they also led the way for community based fundraising (think Kickstarter now), with their 2008 HEP (Honorary Executive Producers) campaign which raised over $8000 towards the production of their third WAXAPPLES album, Glitter & Grime.
Their passion for creating and performing burns strong even after over 30 years cumulative in the business. Intersecting(LA) is a natural and powerful progression of all they have experienced and learned about both creating art and being successful musicians, artists, and businessmen. Intersecting(LA) is an inspired idea which brings together the best the entertainment world has to offer. IT blends seamlessly, photography, fine art, video, recorded and live music, an enhanced ebook, and traditional merchandising to create a powerful social media generating concept which empowers and embraces the basic human desires for belonging and community.
