$16G?? that's nuts. You can get a decent Smart for $13G ...No other small car gets 36MPG city but no other is that minute either. At that price, a turbo + standard sport package would make it more appealing

A CVT Lexus? Seriously? Last I looked diesels were still worse for the environment than gasoline cars, even with urea injections. It's not an just an MPG thing, it's an environmental thing...

Honda's previous internal studies showed US consumers would shy away from CVTs, now that Nissan has proved them wrong and made the CVT mainstream, Honda can't wait to unleash...

Let me guess this straight, it's bigger, more cheaply made and not as fun to drive as the last generation and it won MT COTY? VW said Americans don't appreciate autobahn capable driving machines and maybe they're right, but to give this car what was once a prestigious award is rewarding insolence!

It's simple and functional, not terribly cheap looking or outdated, much like the new Jetta. I can see their inspiration came from the Gen8 Civic...Subaru should have aimed higher though

The fact that Honda used the antiquated 1.8L and squeezed 39MPG is remarkable. Other manufacturers like Hyundai and VW need GDI technology for those numbers. Honda has already perfected its own GDI tech, debuting on JDM cars this year. I can only imagine what the MPG numbers for those new engines...

The Fiat is the better car, but in terms of cost of ownership and reliability, Fiat isn't even in the same Ballpark. Fiat still cannot make a reliable, long lasting car and parts aren't as cheap as Japanese/US parts

I'm sick of stopping at stations & buying gas, I'm waiting & getting a pure electric or a series hybrid like the Volt/Ampera....This is Nissan's first real hybrid, the short-comings aren't as bad. Does no one remember how pointless the first Prius was back in '98?
