I wish words were enough to explain to people why I - and others - can relate to Kurt, and why we invest so much of ourselves in his music.
He wasn't perfect, and that's the most important thing. HE knew that, we know it. But his complicated personality and twisted past has held the seams of countless people together. So for those of you who keep judging us, screw off. 'Cause we're the ones with open minds, big ideas, and dangerously raging hormones. We could beat you to a pulp at a moment's notice with our angsty power. We're tired of trying to make you understand, so we'll tell you it's your loss. We laugh as you run from our music, back to your Justin and your Katy. We don't want you to know us, because we enjoy being the outsiders.
It's a lot more fun on our side, anyway... because we have Kurt Cobain.

Contrary to what my mother thinks...... CHRISTIANS CAN LOVE ALTERNATIVE MUSIC!!!! The music doesn't make me more angry and snotty and cynical; rather, I escape to my parallel universe of punk rock to diffuse those feelings, so I don't have to be angry and snotty and cynical around other people so much. Jesus is my saviour and rock music is my art.
