What started 11 years ago, when i first listen to Muddy Waters' Plantation recordings has spawned into an obsession and passion for studying the early roots of the Americana tradtion known as the delta blues. The last 11 years, i have imerssed myself in devotion to studying the playing techniques of the old masters of the pre war old time blues genre, while traveling America, and living in the South to get a better connection to my musical heritage. I'm only 25 years old, and already have learned so much , but yet, have lots of ground to make up. My greatest influence is the great Blind Lemon Jefferson, who is too me, an inspiration to life, his music is something that i can't comprehend, and I am forever humbled by his magnificence. I try to teach, preach, and promote the awareness of the music. I have visited the Delta region, even making my pilgrimidge to the heart of the blues, in Clarksdale , MS. and New Orleans. I work full time, but sometimes dream about making this my life. I feel that the old spirits of the blues, have put me on a quest to promote the awareness for this music. I am interested in playing in Europe someday, as part of a tour, to educate the people about the origins of music. Hopefully that oppurtunity will come someday. .
