Being rich is a privilege. Why? Every person on earth can be poor, but not everybody can be rich. I understand, in a capitalistic society there can always be people that are rich. But when people are allowed to become billionaires and are not required to give back, that I think is unthinkable. People say that taxing the rich hinders freedom, limits growth, etc. I don't care. Most of us in the middle class and lower are hindered everyday in our lifetime or else we would all be billionaires too!!!
If well-off people don't like being taxed, thats okay. Just step aside and let me take your place. It would be a dream for me to make millions of dollars in income and I wouldn't mind giving half of it to the government. I wouldn't feel limited. I would be inspired to help the government make the right decisions on how to spend our tax dollars.
So what is the right thing to do on health care?
The right thing to do is to help our community. Our country the United States is our community.
Health care reform would help everybody. It is the right thing to do. 40,000 Americans die every year because they lack healthcare. That is the fundamental reason why there is a reform effort. To provide health care for the families that are struggling. To provide them with the money that they need to improve their health, to which the opposition is against because it would tax them just a little bit more. The right thing to do is to pass reform and help the United States of America.
