Some frightening facts that call into serious question the wisdom behind the Islamic tradition to copy the life of Muhammad, "the perfect life lived by the perfect man":
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
A group of eight men from the tribe of 'Ukil came to the Prophet and then they found the climate of Medina unsuitable for them. So, they said, "O Allah's Apostle! Provide us with some milk." Allah's Apostle said, "I recommend that you should join the herd of camels." So they went and drank the urine and the milk of the camels (as a medicine) till they became healthy and fat. Then they killed the shepherd and drove away the camels, and they became unbelievers after they were Muslims. When the Prophet was informed by a shouter for help, he sent some men in their pursuit, and before the sun rose high, they were brought, and he had their hands and feet cut off. Then he ordered for nails which were heated and passed over their eyes, and they were left in the Harra (i.e. rocky land in Medina). They asked for water, and nobody provided them with water till they died (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 261)

Kinana b. al-Rabi`, who had the custody of the treasure of B. al-Nadir, was brought to the apostle who asked him about it. He denied that he knew where it was. A Jew came (T. was brought) to the apostle and said that he had seen Kinana going round a certain ruin every morning early. When the apostle said to Kinana, "Do you know that if we find you have it I shall kill you?" he said Yes. The apostle gave orders that the ruin was to be excavated and some of the treasure was found. When he asked him about the rest he refused to produce it, so the apostle gave orders to al-Zubayr b. al-`Awwam, "Torture him until you extract what he has," so he kindled a fire with flint and steel on his chest until he was nearly dead. Then the apostle delivered him to Muhammad b. Maslama and he struck off his head, in revenge for his brother Mahmud. (Ibn Ishaq, Sirat Rasul Allah, translated as, The Life of Muhammad, (tr. A. the time Keith Olbermann took words out of context.
On his Worst Person In The World Segment, he said
Glen Beck asked Pastor John Hagee if Obama was the
Anti-Christ.
Then Keith Olbermann mocked Beck by
asking him if he was worried about the competition,
implying Beck thought of himself as the Anti-Christ. The Truth is Glenn Beck was not asking Pastor
Hagee a personal question he had that Obama was the
Anti-Christ, It's was a question asked by his
READERS!
Beck didn't think the question up, he
was asking a question many of his readers had for the Pastor.
But Olbermann misqouted him. Seriously, does Keith
think anybody is gullible enough to think Beck,
a pretty non fanatic as religion goes, has the idea
in his head that Barack Obama is the Anti-Christ?
And even if he had the idea, would he embarrass
himself by asking it on Tv?
But in this statement, Keith does not come out and
say "Saturday Night does not really think the Media
favors Barack over Hilary, and I don't think the
Media is in the tank for Obama, it's all a joke,
the Media is fair to both Barack Obama and Hilary
Clinton."
No, he does not discredit his statement and say "Don't take what I just said seriously. Saturday Night Live is not telling the truth when it portrays that the Media is in the Tank for Obama."
You can argue
that Saturday Night Live was joking when it made
it's skit, but the truth is that skit told the
truth in a humorous way. The Media does favor
Obama, and now that the truth is out Keith
Olbermann feels he does not have to hide his
pro-Obama stance. He admits that Saturday Night Live
was right, and that he agrees with them. Obama
is portrayed positive, Hilary is portrayed negative,
and McCain gets the usual treatment the media gives
Republicans, which is generally unfavorable and
certainly not pro-McCain.
Saturday Night Live does think Barack Obama is getting better treatment than Hilary Clinton is, and I'm proud they had the guts to say it.
