Great tune! Best version I've heard. Dave Marsh can't be that big of an idiot if he recognizes this song as one of the top soul tracks. Too bad they don't make soul music like this anymore. Brilliant job Maurice and Mac!!

Beautiful song. Cigarettes and alcohol taking a toll on the ol' vocal chords though.

Whoever underestimates Densmore as a drummer needs to listen to this song. He kicks out the jams in this puppy.

Their best song. Great rebuttal to "It is better to have loved and lost then to have not loved at all." It is laughter and it is loving I disdain. Great great song.

The Doors are my favorite group, but how the Doors could justify releasing Hello I Love You and not be aware of the similarities is beyond me. We are talking The Kinks of 1964 when they were part of the Brit Invasion, and then 1968 with The Doors. Again, as a huge Doors fan, this is a dissapoin...

The bass line is from the song The Soft Parade right at about 3 minutes and 50 seconds. His "I'm talkin' about love!" comes from the infamous Miami concert. Great tune. Brilliant band.

Cheesy video, but I love this version of the song. I am a huge Doors fan, but the Monkees version of this song may be one of my top favorite songs of all time...there is just something about the way it was played.
