@iif5 not sure big hands help with most of this piece--it's more nimble fingers and elasticity. though they probably do help with the big fat octaves. but who cares. this performance is off the wall. it's interesting to compare it to ashkenazy's. different but equal.
@rekab7070 i don't see how pollini can really be accused of soullessness, especially where chopin is concerned.. restraint on fireworks and rubato doesn't make him a mechanician, but rather thoughtful and respectful to the score.
