For some reason, when I'm writing on my own, for my own enjoyment its normally synth instrumental stuff, probably because I learned to play keyboard when I was younger doing cover versions of Jean Michelle Jarre or Tangerine Dream type stuff with my trusty old Atari ST - ah those were the days!
