I do like Sinterklaas and I don't like the racist way Zwarte Piet is represented. It is embarrassing. But to call the Netherlands a racist country is easy, ridiculous and superficial. I descend from slaves that were sold by Africans to make money & I descend from Dutch farmers. And I live in the Netherlands. So what does that make me? 50% beautiful and 50% wrong?

That Sinterklaas video is hilarious! You probably never been to The Netherlands and yet you are so ready to judge a tradition you never took part of. That makes YOU a racist too and dumb (for not doing your homework about Sinterklaas). Black Pete is black because of the soot in the chimney's he slides through to put gifts in childeren shoes, they are wearing old Italian chimney sweeper outfits, and Black Pete isn't only known in Holland. In Spain, Marocco, Belgium etc. Like I said before, do your homework before you call an entire country racist. Racism is everywhere.

Native Dutch may not think Black Pete is a racist element because they probably have never experienced atrocious racism, or any consequences of it, for the matter (in fact history tells us that there were many nations that were oppressed bv them). Zwarte Pete is racist. He does get get black because they come out through the chimneys - that's the lamest thing I ever heard of. So if you creep out of a chimney your hair will turn out to be curly and you'll get big chubby lips too? Moreover they are also featured as idiots by speaking in grammatically-wrong retarded kinda way.

Would you please remove the video about Sinterklaas? Have you EVER looked for information about this celebration before judging us? We celebrate a Saint, living hundreds of years ago in a poor country. giving poor people presents. The Saint had some helpers, unkown if they where black or white. But they put the presents in the chimney's of the poor and because of the ashed their faces became black. So we celebrate a FOREIGNER taking care of poor people. You'd better remove it, because you are telling such a bad story.
