Imakhu, known worldwide as "Water Woman" , and "Renegade Wise Woman", is a veteran performer, visual artist, activist, Kemetic Elder High Priestess, and ordained Interfaith minister.

Dedicated to the reclamation of African culture and global Sisterhood, Imakhu also shares the ancient metaphysical mysticism of the sacred art of bellydance for empowerment and global healing.

Imakhu has become known and respected as an elder sister who "tells it like it is."

As a nganga (healer) of the Shona/Ndebele tradition and cultural activist, Imakhu is faithful to her commission to build bridges of understanding between people. A passionate and tech savvy communicator, Imakhu evolved her former Internet radio station, AKERU NuAfrakan Radio, into AKERU MultiMedia. AKERU MultiMedia is committed to providing quality cultural edutainment through production of Imakhu's videos, DVDs, music & lecture CDs, mp3s, visual art, workshops, lectures, and cultural performances.
