@horseawareness He is just stopping to see if he can decide when to stop. Last night when he would stop I would make him trot and then go back to a walk and then I would stop him. He seemed to get the point that stopping when not asked to means more work.

What do you do with a wet horse if you want to saddle and ride in the rain? Do you dry them as much as possible and saddle or should they be completely dry?

@horseawareness Sorry I should have been more clear. I ride everyday but I rarely do the same thing in the same order I try to change it as much as possible so we are always learning and working together and not just getting into a routine.
