@dilberto0Oz I get on with my life not even thinking about DP/DR but I know it's still there. You can't just forget about it. I'm going in for OCD therapy 1st, then tackle the anxiety before I deal with the DPD. That's how my friend got rid of her 18 years of DPD.

@maciejwrotek Maybe... well if you've ever experienced derealization it's probably the worst feeling ever. Even today I had a little blip of DR and although it feels like I'd never get used to the feeling I'm able to control my thoughts and move on.

@Calizactive187 I smoked pot when I was 13 (3 years after getting DPD) and I would just get stoned. When I tried stronger strains of weed (purple haze, white widow) it made me ill for 3 months!

@seeriktus No it doesn't. I gave up smoking for 6 months a while back and again 8 months ago. Still a non smoker. I noticed no change whatsoever between then and now.

DP is a symptom of anxiety and it's OCD that keeps people in that loop. The way to get rid of it is to first get therapy for OCD, then get therapy for anxiety and then finally Mindfulness meditation to ground yourself.
SRI's are good for keeping serotonin in the synapses longer and anti-psychotic...
