About this user

After having performed and competed worldwide for over a decade, My goal is to pass on my experiences, knowledge and techniques to the up and coming generations. Providing students with a proper understanding of the 4 basic elements of "b-boying" I am part of a World Renown Breakdance crew called Illmask. We've had the opportunity to compete and perform all over the world, Appearing in the Top 35 acts on NBC's hit series "America's Got Talent",Also participating in the "Just for Laughs festival" and winning the International competition "LA Battle" in 2006. We have have won multiple awards as one of Canada's Top B-boy Crews on both a competition and Performance level. Recently, we had the honnor of taking part in the opening ceremony of the 2010 Vancouver par Olympics.. Our show consists of high impact energy, dynamic acrobatics, and a little bit of comedy. We inspire our audiences with our styles and motives and share the message of inclusion and unlimited possibilities. Throughout my career, one common question stands out, "do you offer lessons or teach classes??". With my main focus always being competitions and performances, I've never dedicated to much time to teaching classes. I realize with all the dance schools in the west island, there is no focus on breaking.Dance schools might offer one class if even that, which ends up being a mix mash of ages and talent. My goal this year will be to change that by promoting properly and structurerizing the age and talent levels so the classes can flow properly. My goal will be not only teaching the students proper dance techniques, but introducing them to this amazing culture,. giving them access to be apart of it and get inspired. The class ' will consist of fun and exciting workouts improving their Rhythm, strength, and endurance and building confidence. Students will have the opportunity to take part in a staged performance at the end of the session, displaying their skills and personal styles in a choreographed routine. Students will also be provided with access to all the classic break beats, websites to check out and updates on any up and coming Montreal events and competitions. B-boying is not only a dance, but a positive movement based on unity and having fun.
