@thekripkrons22 Sounds like an apt description of the UFC...hardly any of their fighters even know how to punch or kick properly. K-1 uses a ring, not a cage, and Bas Rutten was never a part of K-1, he was in Pancrase and UFC.

Great fight from two greats in their prime...though sad to see how both of them have fared these days, with Hunt's foray into MMA being less than stellar, and his long-awaited return to K-1 being stopped in its tracks by Schilt/ and with Leko succumbing to injuries over the years, leading ultimat...

Great HL. Badr Hari is a perfect fusion of "some times technical and sometimes balls to the wall aggressive" ...usually the two don't meet in a single fighter.. Hari is a unique kickboxer...let us hope his resurgence coincides and spurs K-1's own resurgence. For that I pray

@strafer Actually, his pro boxing record is 5 - 1. Though that one loss was a KO, his 4 (T)KOs wins vs. his 1 loss is not bad. I think he would have been a force in boxing, had he decided to do that instead of kickboxing. I think his nickname should have been "sugarfist", truly.

I wonder why everyone seems excited about Saki moving into MMA. Inevitably, he would be taken down and smothered or submitted, limiting the beauty of his gifts. I think Shoot boxing or traditional boxing would be much more interesting for Saki when you consider where his gifts lie.(Striking, mane...

@alexcardo2000 I wouldn't say modern K-1 fighters look primitive at all, even compared to Andy Hug. Look at Gokhan Saki, Buakaw, Glaube Feitosa, Petrosyan, Bonjasky, etc., all brilliant fighters with tremendous ability, raw and technical. 'Plenty of genius floating around these days.

Damn shame. Saki was winning this fight.
