I'm not like a normal 16-year-old. I grew up in a milieu that forces me to work hard for something I want. I have to earn what I get. The word meritocracy doesn't seem so atypical to me. All my life, I've been taught on how to lead my life with the right principles and the right values. I don't have a normal teenage life like other teenagers do. I seldom go to malls with my friends, I don't go out or hang out in the open. I don't go to slumber parties. My life has always been about studying, and being the good girl that my parents want me to be. Sure, there are times when I feel like rebelling but somehow I'm inured to this style of living and suprisingly, I'm okay with it. Of course people would think I'm boring but believe it or not, boring seems great for now haha. All I care about is to have a smooth sailing through high school, go to college and take up law (hopefully in a country where Bahasa Melayu is not the national language, amin). Those are my priorities. :)
