Hi - I'm Ian, webmaster for the WPC CLub, www.chryslerclub.org . I'm a Canadian of Scots heritage. I speak Canadian English, but also lairned tae speak the "Mither Tonque", Scots, frae ma grandfowk, and verra much enjoy speakin it. I'm a Christian, and I am also what you would call a Mopar fan, especially the big "Forward Look" finned Chrysler products from the late fifties to early sixties. I also enjoy playing piano and guitar - however I'm pretty much of a beginner on both and have not really had any music lessons. I love worship music & occasionally lead worship at our church. Am married, have four kids ( with one married daughter and 2 grandkids ). You will see my video uploads and favorites are quite varied !

Hi Ian, yeah, a lot of our people made their way across there from the clearances etc. It's great to know though that the dialect survived through your family. I'd understand why you'd have more pride in your Scottish heritage of course. As I've said to anyone with Scots heritage, you have every right to call yourself a Scot as any Scot in my opinion. A lot of our people were forced off our land but have made our nation as proud as ever. In fact, it was a Canadian Scot, born from two Scottish parents that invented Basketball. My Great, Great Granda was Northern Irish, but my second name derives from the Campbell clan of Scotland, so my heritage sort of runs through both.

By the way, great song, saw the video of you playing the Guitar!
Cheers,

Scott

You've got a neat page, Ian..I know where to go now for more info about Chrysler products. These are the CP's I've had:

Learned to drive in aunt's new 48 Plymouth Special Deluxe 4dr.

50 Dodge 2door sedan (fluid coupling, but std. 3spd trans.)
63 Dodge Dart 2dr, 170 engine, torqueflite
64 Dart GT Convert., 225 engine, torqueflite
68 Dodge Coronet 500 hardtop..318, auto
71 Dodge Coronet 318, auto
85 Chrysler Laser, turbo, manual
87 Dodge Shadow, turbo, manual
88? Dodge Dakota, 4 cyl, 5speed manual (flatland truck only!)
89 Dodge Caravan, ext length, 3.0 6cyl., Ultradrive 4speed

And that was the end of the Chrysler dynasty and me...moved eventually to Ford.
