I am a transportation professional who is very much concerned with the level of collisions, injuries and fatalities occurring on our roadways. It is true that our young adults continue to lose their lives at a much higher rate, many of them having these fatal collisions while driving with suspended or revoked licenses, with alcohol as another frequent component. However, my experience in the field has shown me that people of all ages demonstrate the same behavior in the driving environment. After all, our young adults attitude towards the task of driving must have come from somewhere. 43,443 lives were lost to us in 2005, with increasing non-occupant fatalities and drivers, of all ages, fleeing the scene of their collision. In a recent January 18th, 2008 update, the NHTSA reports 42,642 lives lost for 2006.

Collisions can be avoided. There is a better way. At Guardians of The Road, Inc., we intend to raise everyone's awareness of the seriousness, complexity and enormity of the driving environment...EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED. All of my experience and training in this field will be used in an effort to have everyone see things with a new perspective, allowing the Ultimate In Multi Tasking, 'Driving', to occupy a high level of importance in the minds of all of us.
