United States Air Force 1963-1968. Shot down MIG-21 January 1968 over Hanoi. Flew 20 close air support sorties at low level during the massive attack on our Marines holding Khe Sanh. Five of my squadron friends were lost during these operations.

Went on to being an airline captain for Trans World Airlines for 34 years, with numerous assignments in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe.

Have a M.S. in Economics and International Studies from Stanford University.

Somehow it touched me. Specially coming from an american. I share the same feeling.
I am not an anti-american, despite the great mitakes of your country's policy.
I'm a pilot also (private, flying just for sport). I lived in Philadelphia when I was just a kid, while my father was studying and met some great american persons that became close friends to my family. The World needs to read more great words like those that you wright, at least to know there are great persons in your country.
