Richard Novello is a professional actor...began his career in Summer Stock as a teenager...Two seasons were required, in his time, to get Actors' Equity Card. Subsequently, Novello acted in Summer Stock, Maryland, Penn. Maine, Conn. Novello appeared as Romeo, in Romeo and Juliet on Theatre Row 42nd St. NYC. Novello was a member of the acting company of the Morris Town Repertory Company where he acted the role of Edmund in King Lear, Arthur, in Lost In The Stars and Lucifer in the Wakefield Mystery Plays. He went on to act with the American Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Conn in various productions: Macbeth, Julius Caesar (two productions, one directed by Margaret Webster) Midsummer Nights' Dream, Merchant of Venice with Morris Carnovsky. On Broadway he appeared in Gene Frankels' production of Indians...also the National Company of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. (The Broadway Touring Company) For six/seven years he was the founder/director of Il Teatro del Rinasimento...a professional Italian American Theatre company which performed in NYC and toured various colleges and schools in the New York Area. Il Teatro was funded, in part, by The New York State council For The Arts.
