I am a Cambodian, a kid who actually knew nothing but enjoying life. My life start when I hoped to acquire a better understanding of the German culture and the living atmosphere by studying abroad.
I would like to broaden my conceptual understanding of the world by living and studying in Germany. I planed to open my eyes to the diversity of another culture outside of Cambodia. My plan was to immerse myself by studying at a good german university to gain insight into the German cultural. By living here and studying American Studies in Germany I hoped to gain life lessons which I could incorporate into my life back in Cambodia. One of the biggest benefits that I was looking forward to in study abroad is the new international friendships that I hoped to make. I loved meeting new people and connecting with them to understand how they live and what unique difference they possess. I believed that this world can work better if people understanding each other. To do my part I hoped to be able to acquire international friendships that will help me learn the ways and ideas of others.
I hoped to incorporate this international experience into my future academic plan by widening my cultural and intellectual perception of the world. I planed to incorporate this experience into better, more adaptable, and finely tuned communication skills. I hopeed to incorporate my new experiences of cultural and personal relationships from studying abroad to gain insight. I planed to incorporate my study abroad program, my experiences into my life so that I can help my country, my friends, my living environment, and the world as a whole.
However, everything is not as easy as I thought.. Now I really realize, how little I have known about the world outside
