All of the nominees were exceptional in their own respective shows!! And what a great year for new and revival musicals! It's definitely a tie between 1988 (Phantom, Into the Woods, Anything Goes), 1998 (Lion King, Ragtime, Cabaret), and 2004 (Wicked, Avenue Q, Wonderful Town) as my favorite year...
