i wish this version had made onto the album...the final version was a bit overproduced and stevie's haunting vocals were changed to a scratchy whisper...i like this one better.

she needs to do another album featuring this song...the album could be called "Black Roses" and this song be its centerpiece. Along with recordings of some of her other demos...like "The Tower" etc. that would be sickening...God I love Stevie!

The thing I would have changed in the film...would be to include more of Ginny, showing her in battle, and what a powerful witch she is. Not enough Ginny in the last film...but I guess you can't have everything...I can't wait to see the additional scenes on the upcoming DVD.

In my estimation...this is the finest vocal performance of our time. I remember watching this live...and it STILL gives me chills. Aretha is the Queen of Soul and anything she puts her mind to. Beautiful!
