Creole King (Cardell Henry) born October 15, 1981 in New Orleans, LA, is a locally known and extremely talented artist. At a young age, Creole King discovered he had a flair for entertainment. He would entertain his family and friends by imitating artists such as Jodeci, R.Kelly, LL Cool J, Dru Hill, and many more. The more he impersonated these popular artists, the more he realized his comedic talents and vocal abilities. Though he had many abilities, music is what he loved.

Creole King honed his talent in the youth choir at First Hollygrove Baptist Church. As the years passed, he began to compete in talent shows in the greater New Orleans area. In 1999, he along with his twin brother J. Henry (Journell Henry) and two friends formed the singing group, Cristal. The group quickly gained local success and fame by performing hit songs by popular groups: Dru Hill and Boyz II Men. Cristal's credits include placing second in the citywide WYLD talent show which led to the group's televised performance and win at the world famous Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, NY. Cristal disbanded in 2003 and Creole King released a hip hop mix tape under the moniker "Black Phoenix" to showcase his hidden microphone skills. As Black Phoenix, Creole King lent his one-of-a-kind vocals to many records for fellow artists. Many of these songs received much airplay on radio stations throughout the Southern region of America. These opportunities further enhanced his local fame within the New Orleans area.

In 2004, after years of going in circles, Creole King found himself back where he began; church. Under the watchful eye of his pastor, Apostle Lionel R. Catchings, Creole King was prepared to hit the stage again. This time, he was leading praise and worship where he was able to sharpen his stage presence and ability to interact with an audience.

Currently, Creole King is performing in several venues around Atlanta, with other up and coming acts such as The Doo Whop Boiz and Tiffany Bleu. If you have not been blessed to witness the seemingly effortless charm and charisma emanate through this local legend's talents on or off stage, you are truly missing the launch of a soulful satellite. Creole King is unmistakably soulful, undeniably fly, and unquestionably dope. He is "The King of Creole Soul".
