About The Official Youtube Home Of The Eccentrics Live
The Eccentrics have been around in one for or another since December 2000. The original line-up included Trotsky of the legendary Subhumans (& Citizen Fish), as well as Sandra Leithauser of Korrupt (German H/C punk band). These guys played their last gig in May 2004, before moving to Germany to set up home and renovate an old farmhouse.
During this time The Eccentrics recorded 16 songs for an album entitled 'Destination Nowhere' which was released on their own label 'Scratched Records'. The band also had a mini tour up the east coast of the USA - which took in Richmond (VA), the famous Trocadero Theatre in Philadelphia, The Axis in Boston (MA), as well as a couple of nights at the Knitting Factory in Manhattan (NYC). They also played at the prestigious BobFest festival @ The Schlachthof (Slaughterhouse) in Bremen.
Since then the band have played smaller gigs around the UK, supporting many of the more established original punk bands, and at places such as Nottingham's Rock City. They still gig quite regularly in their own immediate area, and plan to record more songs again soon (for a new album).
I have been filming them since 2004.
The 1st gig I filmed was with the original line-up of Sean on vocals, Vince on bass (both still currently in the band), Sandra on guitar & Trotsky from anarcho punk band Subhumans on drums.
The current line-up consists of Sean & Vince plus Dave Flintham on guitar & new kid Pete Goodyear on drums.
