yes all three
Interests:
I thought I would do just a few songs that I have enjoyed over the years but its starting to become a reflective "well this is where I am at right now" sort of thing. Its cathartic and fun at the same time!.. As you might see on some of the videos, I can't take it all that seriously. You don't get to see the takes where I fall apart completely. Maybe at my time in life there is not much to lose...the one good thing about being 'over the hill' is that its down all the way..
Movies:
Don't see many films but I do remember 'What Dreams May Come' for some reason...oh and Avatar in 3D.. big shame about the tree.
Music:
Contemporary and traditional folk, Blues, Old Time, Anything acoustic.. in fact all things! I like sitting in music sessions. A small contribution and so much more returned...however I was a student three of my favourite vinyl's were Japanese Shakuhachi music, Tibetan Buddhist chanting (three octaves below middle C)! and Balinese gamelan music.. eclectic even then..
Books:
Zen Mind, Beginners Mind always comes to mind..and any other book that tries to make sense of my human condition. Having said that, the best book is the one made up of the pages from my own life.

I check your channel so often that I finally subscribed to YouTube just in order to leave a comment.
Whenever I am stuck for a song or new material to perform (new, Old material) I check to see what you are thinking. Some of your earlier posts have helped me decide on arrangements of songs I had been thinking about for years. In short you have helped me inspire me when at a loss for material. Your arrangements are fresh and encompass all the parts that I hear and want to deliver in a one man acoustic performance.
I seem to have the same tastes and your channel is a wonderful resource. Keep it up .. please.

Mike, I tried to send you a message but was blocked for some reason.Could you send me a contact invite to see if that sorts out the problem. We have subscribed to one another so I don't see why there is a problem.

Hi Mike ...

Some feedback on your new webcam. I've been using a low res (640x480) Flip camera for some time, after giving up on my more complicated and expensive cameras. The Flip resolution is perfect for Youtube ... you can check my own videos to see what I mean.

I often jam with your videos ... I will note that on those you just posted, your left hand and the fretboard drop down and out of view on occasion ... not that big a deal, I'll just have to trust my ear more, but it would be ideal if the fretboard was visible throughout.

Regardless ... your videos are like fine pearls ... always of great value.

you touch my soul with your voice and guitar, and bring some peace to my soul as well. i think i´m kind of old to start studying the guitar but i´ll give it a try. thanks 4 the feelings i get by listening to your great music. it´s really helped my lonely heart to be at ease. keep on with this excellent work...

Wow you remind me of the reason I first picked up a guitar :) what fun you have! By any chance do you know Footsteps?, Footsteps down the hall and at the door, daddy's home? I'd love to hear that old one again! You are a joy to watch and listen to!

That's what happens, we grow older and start seeing life with more compassion. From both sides :0) Nicely covered Mike.

Who are you ichingiching...? Don Quixote...? Your songs are enchanting! I just listened to 44 of them in one sitting! The first one I listened to was "Across the Great Divide." I will listen again. It's a wonderful idea to share your music and your self on the world wide web.
