You won't need the extra 4 pins on your mobo's power. And neither do you on the cpu power. The computer should boot up just fine with the 20 pin connector and just ONE 4 pin connector on the cpu power. Make sure it's on the right side though and not in the middle or on the left.

@chronofusion He used the same settings, so it doesn't matter whatsoever. As long as the actual hardware is the same. (processor, mobo, RAM, PSU and HDD/SSD)

FSB overclocking is not possible with these processor line anymore. That's because the GPU (which is located INSIDE the processor) is also linked to the FSB. And that supports no further than about 104 MHz baseclock. So for this particular CPU that would mean 31 x 104 as maximum overclock.

the rFactor sounds aren't that bad.. I don't really like the iRacing sounds either.

iRacing is the best simulator you can possibly buy.. It's developed and tested bij real drivers, and used by almost all of their collegues..

The gear seems to be all right, now it's time to pollish those skills ;)

I also have this set up along with the dominator gt's 2133 MHz, and i can tell you that 1,65v is completly safe. I could even go up to 1.76 and still not fry the on-chip IMC.. Also motherboard manufacturers have stated 1.65v as 100% safe.

Im very sorry, but in my opinion the physics really are no good. Try racing the 360's and 575's in GTR2 (PC), and then recompare. Note that GTR2 is probably the best racingsim ever built. It even has support for custom mods, and the physics engine is just perfect.

Human eyes can't see anything faster than 24 FPS.. That's our limit, and the reason why Blu-Ray movies are in 24p ;). So you won't be able to see the difference between lets say 4000 FPS and 30 FPS. That's just the way we work..

Had the same overclocking problems then you had here. Now, ASUS have released the new 0504 BIOS. Which seems te have solved all the problems for me since the original 0403 BIOS. It now outperforms my friends P8P67 Deluxe by far, and overclock results are amazing. (I did 5.8GHz on AIR! and 6+ on H2O)

Not even 2 of my brand new HD6970 can't run this without the FPS dropping to about 12..

wont take long anymore though.. AMD is blaming the drivers for the relatively low performance. They said we could expect atleast another 20% performance boost at the next driver release. Even though 20% is a little much, expect at least another 10% performance boost. So this card will beat the HD...

real mess inside the case.. Also i do not suggest using a case without cable management holes anymore. CoolerMaster CM690 II Advanced is probably the best bang for you buck at the moment.
