@mysticpiggyx you are correct keeping a low guard is dangerous habit. In a fast exchange boxers often get knocked out by the punch they never saw coming. Also remember the other guy is trying to hit you so why make it easier for him.

Yes its important to stress safety in training ..we are not trying to injure each other but develop our skills. Wearing gloves and pads mouth piece even eye protection is good idea even in drilling. Keeping your guard up is a good habit to develop too

@drivingbible You are right. Lee made his fight scenes more dramatic for his audiences. Remember he was a action star by profession. His actual fighting system was more functional but you can still see elements of his Jeet kune do in his films.

Any martial art you do a part of it is the combat aspects but you develop so much more from the training and drills that's what i like the most about the arts.
