What's up metalheads!!! soooo, on saturday i spent the whole day with mikey batio.. this man is so enlightening, intellegent, and one of the most humble people i've ever met in my life! we talked for almost two hours just about schooling, theory, and what the guitar has evolved into today. he even said he felt as though it was turning almost sport-like! which is wierd coming from him..?.. so after we talked for a while he had to do his set.. i sat on the side of the stage and watched as this man obliterated his guitars! he went through his tributes... dime, randy, richie, and then did no bounderies and a couple of other originals along with the stories to go with them. so when he got done he had to do a signing. so i stood next to him while he did so. he probably took 200 pics and signed anything from posters and guitars to shoes and cd's. when he was done with all of the signings and pics me and a couple of DOA members J.D. and TOM, who is also one of the admins for DOA and the MAB forum, just sat around for a while chatting with mike. then we decided to get a pic for twitter, deanguitars, and Mikes site, so be sure to look out for those. after that we helped him carry his guitar (the double guitar, which i have pics of him messin with outside of the shop.) so i helped him carry some of his stuff out to his car, which he himself drove to the event, and we talked for another 20 minutes and it was time to leave. so, i told him that i was very thankful for all of his insight and intellegence. i told him that his performance was amazing and he had a smile from ear to ear and told me that he appreciated it! so yeah, that was my day with mike. very cool guy and very down to earth! hope you peeps enjoy my story and if you ever have a chance to meet mike do it, BTW... i bought a dean razorback 7 25.5! supposed to be in the beginning of next week! oh yeah! and i also bought the new razorback v25.5 blades. also badass!!----jonny---- Be sure to sub if you're a dean guitars fan or you like my playing and want to see more!! peace assholes and remember to stay as metal as possible.
