Certainly on this Belmont Stakes performance he would have beaten any horse. But too many defeats on his record to be considered the Greatest of all time. Surely Ribot or Man o' War had more consistency?

I was 11 & havnt seen it from then till now. What a joy to watch it! Expected Bedford to run away from these guys & maybe break the world record. Worried when Bedford couldn't get away from them, but did not expect a finish like that . . My God did not expect a finish like that!!
