Geldof left Lizzy out of Live Aid, and Phil was said to be gutted. Not as gutted as I was listening to this prick ruin a great song. Geldof was, and still is a talentless, self obsessed bell end.

Saw John Mayall last week. His set ended with this, Oli Brown came back on for a " Jam ". It was way better than this. Sorry folks if you love Clapton, Gary Moore could have played this in his sleep

Saw him in Dunfermline on 12th November, a great performance, if you get a chance go and see him, you will not be disappointed. Will be going to see him again in April next year in Edinburgh.

The first time I saw Lizzy was at the Apollo in Glasgow. It was always like a bear pit, but when Phil sang this song, everyone and I mean everyone sat down and listened. Absolutely brilliant, and Frankie's voice is a huge bonus on an already great track

@mikecat23 You are absolutely correct. Nobody can beat the emotion and feeling Phil put in when singing this live. Sade does a fine rendition though.

Sade has a fantastic voice, and does a very good rendition of this fantastic song, however nobody can better the original, written by Phil Lynott and performed by Thin Lizzy.
