About this user
De'Jon Pier'e first came to prominence via the social networking site MySpace in 2006, garnering over two million profile views and one million song plays. This led to him reaching the number one spot as the "Most Popular Unsigned Indie Artist" on the MySpace charts, a title which he held for five weeks in 2008.[1]
He used this online popularity to market his first album, "Honest" (2006), and follow-up "Individualism" (2008), marketed through Ditto Music and iTunes. He continued to exploit the techniques of online music marketing with his third album "This Is..." (2010), which brought his total album sales to more than 10,000.[2]
As of November 2011, De'Jon's most recent projects have included a fourth album, "Weirdo" (2011), and the establishment of Xklusive Management, a company aimed at supporting and nurturing new urban music talent. The video for his song "Wasted Energy" has remained in the Channel AKA charts since October 2010, it is now charted at Number 212 plus he has accumulated over 132,000 views on his YouTube channel.
