Journalism is not dead. It just smells funny.
KUDOS to Fox News for maintaining its journalistic integrity. When former McCain advisor Marty Eisentadt tried taking credit for a leaked story to Fox News' Carl Cameron during my Continent-gate crises, Fox News' Carl Cameron refused to give up the source of his story, despite the heavy pressure placed on him to do so. Demonstrating his great integrity and moral certitude, Carl has stuck to his guns. But, unfortunately, he also is not denying the facts of the original story.
The truth, it seems, is stranger than the fiction, and if I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times also: "The fiction is often the last refuge of the truth."
As a former journalist, i,Sarah Palin!, feel that MSNBC must be held accountable for its shoddy, drive-by reportage. MSNBC has a responsibility to inform the American people, not engage in misleading smear tactics and character assassination. That's the kind of divisive politics that is so hurtful to our nation. We need to progress our country forward, not undermine it by misrepresenting truths about our dedicated, hard-working public officials. That's why you should read my latest book: "Going Rogue: A Woman's Guide to Going Rogue". I also address issues related to motherhood, governoring, and indoor tanning.
While much has been said, what remains true is that I, Sarah Palin,! did not know that the NAFTA is a trade agreement between our country and Canada and also Mexico. Also, I did not know that Africa is a continent and not a country. In fact, I kinda still don't.
The true sources of the leaks have yet to be discovered, but when they are, Joe the Plumber will fix them--and we will make them famous!
Running for Vice President has humbled me greatly. I now know just exactly what it is that the VP does every day. Although I do regret losing the general election, I'm glad to be back in Alaska, where my talent as a hockey mom is more fully appreciated. But get ready for this maverick to rear her head again, America: in four more years I will be hockier and mommier than ever before!
While Mr. Eisenstadt will not be working on my future campaigns, I am hopful that I won't have to run against the candidate who does.
