Eric Mercado (born March 9, 1994), just recently known by his stage name "Rize" is a 15 year old writer/producer/rap artist. Born in Mississauga, Ontario and is of Canadian-Filipino descent. He has two younger sisters, two older half-sisters that don't live with him and is currently being raised by his mom and grandmother in Toronto, Ontario. Eric has been through a rough childhood, but has managed to man up through whatever hit him; being the only male member remaining in the family. Eric uses his lyrics/music to express his thoughts and feelings on his songs. Other times, he's just having a lot of fun with it. This is where he found his passion for music. Eric has always been interested in the music industry. Loved music ever since the day he was born, and until this day he can't live without it. It didn't matter what kind of music it was. As long as it sounded well to Eric's ears he'd listen to anything and everything. Eric has been writing song's ever since grade school, but has never actually thought about recording and getting into the industry. Until late June of 2009, his friend JC introduced him to his own recording studio. Ever since that day Eric was influenced by him and saw that he was making his own tracks, so he decided to try it out. Today, Eric is still writing music and is working on some new tracks. Along with TheMp3Clan [T.M.C.] which is a little group JC has created and has grown through out the months and is still growing. Even though he is new to the game, he understand's the industry pretty well with the mature midstate he has. Eric knows what's there to come, and what's there still left to hit him. With very little experience, Eric is anxious to see what the future has in store for him. Although he loves to play basketball as a hobby, and is team captain of his high school team, and is known as an "Exclusive Class" cwalker, Eric is very focused on his music. Only time will tell where his music will take him. Eric is not your average "underground rapper" that wants to make it. Eric is in it for the love of the music, and wants to fulfill his dream of doing something you love, working so hard that one day you'll make it; no matter how long it takes.
