About this user
I am seventeen years of age, female in case you didn't know. I have EDNOS, as well as various other mental disorders. I love music, coffee(black), makeup, and photography. Just to get it out there, yes I have been molested quite a few times, and I was beaten when I was little. Yes, my mental disorders have been officially diagnosed by a licensed psychiatrist, and yes I am on psych meds right now that aren't doing a damn thing. No, I'm not fucking emo. Yes, I'm aware that people without eating disorders who watch my videos find them disturbing, disgusting, and pathetic. I'm also aware that most people who have never suffered from an eating disorder usually don't understand what it's like. Please, stop claiming you do so because I'm really tired of people thinking that telling us to eat is going to fix everything. For us, eating is easier said than done.
Let's get some stuff straight about eating disorders, shall we?
1. We don't do this so all these guys will think we're hot. Stop assuming that. No guy is worth this shit.
2. We are well aware of the damage we're doing to our bodies. Not only have we researched it, but we've also heard it about a million other times from concerned people who tell us not eating is dangerous and think that we'll suddenly be like "Oh my god no way I think I'm going to start being normal now!"
3. Fact: It is our body. We choose what goes in and, sometimes, what comes out, so shut up. We are well aware that this is deadly, but hello it's a MENTAL DISORDER. Your critism will not do us any good. Keep your comments to yourself, or go learn a thing or two about being on the other side of the fence.
4. Most of us are literally AFRAID of food, and all of us, pretty much, are deathly afraid of being fat. No, we don't harbor a particular hate for fat people, at least as a whole.
5. Some of us choose to get help for our disorder. Some of us don't. Some of us wait longer than others. Some of us are officially diagnosed. Some of us aren't. ALL of us have a disorder.
6. We really, really don't need your critism or concerns. Chances are, we've heard it all before, and trust me you couldn't hate us or be more disgusted with us than we are with ourselves.
Unless you've had experience with an eating disorder, you can't really understand how we feel or how we see things. Please, stop assuming that you do. You're wrong. We aren't just pulling some teen-angst 'I'm all alone' bullshit. The truth is, you don't know what it's like 'till you've been there.
