Cedar Point has been voted the Best Amusement Park in the world for 13 years running! Opening in 1870, it is the 2nd oldest amusement park in North America. It's located in Sandusky, Ohio. The entire amusement park is on a penninsula surrounded by Lake Erie and Sandusky Bay. Cedar Point has 17 roller coasters, the 2nd most of any theme park in the world (Six Flags in California has 18 coasters, as of this year). It also has a total of 75 rides, with a grand total of over 150 rides, shows and attractions. Cedar Point is home to the second highest ride in the world, Top Thrill Dragster standing 420 ft! - the tallest ride at Cedar Point. Millennium Force is the second tallest coaster at Cedar Point, which is 310 ft - truly a ride for the thrill seekers. It has so much airtime and a heart-pounding fall at 80 degrees! With TTD and MF, Cedar Point still maintains a spot in the Coaster Wars (which theme park can have the talleset, fastest, steepest coasters in the world). On average, about 3 million people come these 364 acres all year long.
