This is a rock squirrel,which are from the northern part of China.
Its name is "Hyota", and is 17 years old.
Cet écureuil est un écureuil des roches (rock squirrel), originaire du Nord de la Chine.
Son nom est "Hyota", et il a 17 ans.
おにぎりを包んでるラップは
絶対食べませんのでご安心ください。
ラップは、俵太が食べたい時に食べられるように
おにぎりの乾燥防止と
手にご飯粒が付くのが嫌いな俵太のためです。
Please be assured that
Hyouta NEVER swallows the plastic wrap covering the ONIGIRI(Rice-ball).
The wrap is needed to keep ONIGIRI from drying out so that Hyouta can eat it whenever he wants.
And it's used for Hyouta who hates it when his hands get sticky with rice.
俵太のアゴの下に出来た血豆状の出来物は全く大丈夫ですので、心
痛みもなく、本人も全く気にすることなく元気に過ごしています。

Maro has no her own pet after she lost Hyouta. The dog, Boss-kun belongs to Maro's mother.
maro's posting his passing, al though perhaps therapeutic for her, serves also as a testament to her generous heart...
it's no wonder that our fuzzy friend lived so long: who wouldn't want to be near such a lovely person as many moments as possible....
I somehow translated the journal and passed it to Maro so that she could edit and introduce in some way, not in this comment column with limited number of words. Since she is planning make Hyouta's slide show someday, the translation would be used as the english super. However, she is not settled yet to edit these things right now, please just wait for the day!

Hyouta's immedite cause of sudden death seemed to be due to ventricular fibrillation (heart attack). Maro describes the situation of Hyouta in detail on the day he passed away in her blog. When I have some time, I will translate it in English, although it makes me sad. But he was happy sweet boy and was not alone when he passed way because his mom (Maro) and dad (Maro's husband) was beside him.
