The combined choirs of the Salt Lake Choral Artists (Young Choral Artists, Women's Choir, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir and Vocal Artists) along with local High School choirs perform Five Hebrew Love Songs by Eric Whitacre live in concert on February 19, 2011 in Libby Gardner concert hall, under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred
Violin: Leslie Henrie
Piano: Laurel Enke
Text: I. Temuna (A Picture) A picture is engraved in my heart; Moving between light and darkness: A sort of silence envelopes your body, And your hair falls upon your face just so.
II. Kala Kalla (Light Bride) Light bride She is all mine, And lightly She will kiss me!
III. Larov (Mostly) "Mostly," said the roof to the sky, "the distance between you and I is endlessness; But a while ago two came up here, And only one centimeter was left between us."
IV. Eyze Shelleg! (What Snow!) What snow! Like little dreams Falling from the sky.
V. Rakut (Tenderness) He was full of tenderness; She was very hard. And as much as she tried to stay thus, Simply, and with no good reason, He took her into himself, And set her down In the softest, softest place. Hila Plitmann

The Salt Lake Vocal Artists and Salt Lake Choral Artists Chamber Choir combine (and are joined in part by the Concert Choir) to perform "Nox Aurumque" by Eric Whitacre live in concert on February 19, 2011 in Libby Gardner concert hall, under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred
Nox Aurumque (English translation)
Gold, Tarnished and dark, Singing of night, Singing of death, Singing itself to sleep...
And an angel dreams of dawnings, and of war. She weeps tears of the golden times Tears of the cost of war.
O Shield! O gilded blade! You are too heavy to carry Too heavy for flight.
Gold, tarnished and weary, Awaken! Melt from weapon into wing! Let us soar again, High above this wall; Angels reborn and rejoicing With wings made Of dawn, Of gold, Of dream.
Gold, Singing of wings, Singing of shadows...

The Salt Lake Vocal Artists and Salt Lake Choral Artists Chamber Choir combine to perform "Her Sacred Spirit Soars" for double choir by Eric Whitacre live in concert on February 19, 2011 in Libby Gardner concert hall, under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred
Her Sacred Spirit Soars (an homage to the Renaissance works written in tribute to the 'Virgin Queen,' Elizabeth I)
Her sacred spirit soars o'er gilded spires, And breathes into creative fires a force; In well-tuned chants and chords of countless choirs Lives ever her immortal shadowed source. From age to age the roll of poets grows; And yet, a lonely few are laurel-crowned, In whose sweet words her inspiration shows, Revealing insights deep and thoughts profound. O shall Cecelia, or shall Goddess Muse Reach then to me across eternal skies? Is heaven's quick'ning fire but a ruse, Abiding rather here before mine eyes? Nearer than I dream'd is She whose fame All poets sing, whose glory all proclaim: "LONG LIVE FAIR ORIANA!"
