Nah, I'd almost bet it really was chew spit. The reason his cheek is so big is because chewing tobacco (not dip) is full sized tobacco leaves. The color is from molasses, and other flavoring ingredients. It's clearly tobacco he spits out into the cup. It's not chocolate or anything.
