One thing that caught my attention about the way Risen Star ran this race. He was on the outside for most of the race, which means he ran farther than his father did when he ran on the rail from the word go in 1973. Put RS on the rail, and he may well have approached his father's time.

That was one of the most played out acts in the history of country music. You could set your radio presets in the early/mid 80's to 3 different country stations, switch between them after each Alabama song was finished playing, and be practically guaranteed to hear 4-6 of their songs in an hour....
