About Me:
The Hunslet Club provides a wide ranging evening and weekend programme of youth based activities including football, drama, boxing, Irish dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, street dance and other leisure activities for hundreds of young people every week to help them reach their full potential and enjoy themselves. New members are always welcome.
By day the club also runs a Vocational Learning Programme for young people to gain qualifications in a range of subject areas.
For seventy years the club has been at the heart of the community in South Leeds and is today one of the largest youth clubs in the country.

If you have got any film or video footage which we could copy to add to this collection, we'd be very grateful if you could get in touch.
A selection of old film reels handed over to the club recently, following the initial discoveries under the club stage, is currently being converted to modern format by the Yorkshire Film Archive. These are labelled as containing 60's, 70's and 80's football games, rugby tours and club camps amongst other things, keep watching this space to be among the first to see these.
Following BBC Look North doing a feature on April 7th about our archive film hoard found under the club stage, they then did a nice follow up feature on the magician, Alan Moore, featured in the 1956 Childrens Newsreel footage, broadcast April 29th which you can view here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/local...

Thanks for letting me know, sorry about that, according to the copyright info on the uploads page its telling me it should only be blocked in Germany because of the musical soundtrack I put on there, have queried with youtube as to whether there's a kink in the system that they can correct or whether it really should be blocked in the UK or not, if needs be I shall re-edit it with different music that there isn't the same problem with, hopefully should get it sorted soon!
