How is your guitar tuned? I'm trying to transcribe the song and came across a few problems thought that may be the answer haha

@mattsmithpaving I disagree with your main point that learning someone else's material makes you better than the originator. Anyone can learn a piece, it takes a musician to write something. and that Vai couldnt learn this.. Steve Vai transcribed music for Frank Zappa and did a lot of transcribin...

@mr20barefoot i can agree with that at some points and for some songs and if you see him live he doesnt seem too passionate cuz he's so focused (unlike vai or satch) but i do suggest then listening to some of his more ballad-y songs like "point to point", even "on impulse" but ESPECIALLY "modern ...

That was great! you should try really swinging some of the melody notes..this song is really easy and fun to mess with the the rhythm a little bit....absolutely great cover as is though!

@oliver159 this is the original...it was posted over a year before the album came out...they changed it around during production im guessing...but still semantics aside...i agree..i love this version so much more

so nice to see that claudio is back to rocking the fuck out live...he got really slow over the years compared to like back when second stage just first came out...just took a marching band up his ass to get him to move around lol

i love vai to death but i feel like there was too much noise in this...blue is equally about the spaces between notes as it is the actual notes. and blue is one place that the crazy noises that he comes up with are just too much...i bet if he sat down and did this w/o the craziness and went just ...
