8.0L+ OHV v10 and less than 500 hp was pathetic as hell even in the 90's when just about every 408 OHV crate engine from ford or chevy makes 500-550hp. Shit ford hasn't used the 351w block in stangs for over four decades, except the 95' cobra r, and it's still kicking LS ass to this day.

@GJJTexas I'm not worried at all, the 2011 gt500 beats the cts-v in every track tested. check out the v.i.r lap times, then add 100 hp and better handling.

Crazy what just tires can do. It'll cost you around $2100 once they need to be replaced though.

not to take anything away from the g8, but 20k worth of mods and labor to pull a bolt on cobra isn't that impressive. Race a cobra with an aftermarket blower and try this again, that would be interesting.

The best thing about fords DOHC supercharged engines is the aftermarket horsepower gains with simple bolt ons and a tune. 03 cobra's made 600 hp at the crank and these shelby's make well over 700hp. And that's without stroking, boring, or H/C package GM guys. Who knows what the new 5.8l superchar...
