Great movie filmed on location. You can't duplacate this movie. This was an era where Hollywood had the technology, and freedom to go to a lot of places and just film. Nowadays there are a lot of rules, strict permits, and lawsuits. That’s why you don’t get realism anymore.

I think it was film entirely on location. Meaning no Hollywood studio, no filming in Canada or anywhere else. These days it is almost impossible to film on location due to permits and law suits of people who did not ask permission to be filmed. This is only my opinion.

The New York city Police Department used 1969 Ford's as their choice. I heard they were Customs which is quite similar to a Galaxie. 1969 & 1970 was the only year they used Fords in this era. Otherwise they used Plymouth Fury.

Is there a way this song could get released on a cd? From what I researched this show aired in the winter of 1973. I wish they could put all the music on this show on a record/cd. I know these were live recordings but like this song it is the only recording available..

By 1955-56 did Packard cars when they were in the showrooms copete with Imperial and Lincoln? Or did they compete with Buick and Chrysler?
This is my favorite version posted on you-tube. Thanks
